Funsize Heroes has secured two centrally located venues in Mrieħel and Pembroke for Summer 2026, in response to major road works affecting access to its flagship site in Naxxar. While management intends to return to Naxxar once safe and convenient access is restored, the newly

introduced locations have already been well received by parents.

Although stepping away from Naxxar, the locality where Funsize Heroes was established, was a difficult decision, it was a necessary step to ensure a safe and accessible environment for another memorable summer programme.

The Mrieħel venue, St. Theresa College, is conveniently located opposite the Infetti Football Ground and offers excellent accessibility from several nearby localities. The school recently underwent interior refurbishment and features a large gymnasium suitable for a wide range of sports activities.

The Pembroke venue, St Clare College, is situated in close proximity to St Julian’s, Madliena, and Sliema. This landmark school combines historical character with modern, well-maintained facilities, providing an ideal setting for summer activities.

In addition to the new locations, the Funsize Heroes programme will be enhanced with a broader range of activities, including regular outings beyond the school environment for older children. This approach allows for an even more dynamic and engaging experience, moving beyond the

limitations typically associated with on-site programmes.

The scene is set for another exceptional summer for our Funsize Heroes.

The Summer 2025 choir project at Funsize Heroes was more than just music — it was about growth, courage, and discovery.

After holding auditions, we brought together a group of children — many stepping into a choir for the first time. In just a few days, they

learned a heartfelt version of Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”, recorded theirvoices in a mini studio setup, and experienced being in front of a camera.

It wasn’t always easy. There were long rehearsals, re-takes, and lots of learning moments. But they showed resilience, joy, and passion throughout.

To each Hero who gave it their all — thank you for reminding us what it means to be brave, creative, and proud. You truly shone.

This Summer we will be in two brand new locations; Naxxar and Qormi (Handaq). In Naxxar we will be at the Maria Regina Middle School in Main Street, Naxxar. Our Qormi location will be at the St Ignatius College Secondary School in Triq Tal-Handaq, Ħal Qormi. These schools were chosen for their central locations and their ease of access from many different parts of the island.

It is very important to note that once the location is chosen, it will not be possible to change since spaces are limited. The programmes offered are very similar to each other as we strive to give all our Heroes the same, fun and unforgettable experience. Both locations cater for children between the ages of 3 and 12 years and transport is offered to and from each location

We are launching a new website where you can find all the information you require. Through this website, one can access our Easter and Summer programmes and also register and pay online receiving immediate place confirmation and receipts. On this website, we will also upload any upcoming events, photos of activities and all necessary information.

We are also introducing our online shop which will carry our Funsize Heroes T-shirts together with other fun accessories.
